Member of ZIV Presidium Volker Thiemann elected to CONEBI‘s Board of Directors
Berlin, 9 October 2024 | On September 30 2024, the Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI) held a general assembly where Volker Thiemann was elected to the board. Thiemann is a member of ZIV‘s Presidium and Board as well as Managing Director of AT Zweirad GmbH in Altenberge near Münster, which operates the traditional bicycle brand Velo de Ville.
Successor to the late Erhard Büchel, Thiemann is a strong advocate for small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and bicycle-related interests at a European level. With Volker Thiemann, CONEBI is responding with new energy and fresh ideas to the increasing demands for sustainability and safety that are currently affecting the industry.
Thiemann announces confidently: »Looking towards Europe and its present developments is becoming increasingly important for our industry. Whether EPAC regulations or bureaucracy, many decisions crucial for us are discussed in Brussels and I look forward to taking on this new challenge.«
